Amazing Author!

For any of you that like to read, I just wanted to share my current readings. I just finished the first 2 of a series of 4 of Ted Dekker books. He is one talented author! He's ridiculously creative with his writings and each book keeps you wanting to read more. All of his books that I have read are awesome, but the 2 I just read are really good. The first one is:

Think with your heart and prepare to die for you have been ChosenThe land of the Forest Dwellers has been decimated by the Horde under the watchful eye of the vilest of all creatures, Teeleh. Thomas Hunter, supreme commander of the Forest Guard, is forced to lower the recruitment age of his army from 18 to 16. From among thousands, four new recruits are chosen to lead--and perhaps die--for the greater good. The chosen four are sent on a quest to prove their character, but their mission takes a dramatic turn when they are intercepted, sworn to secrecy, and redirected to a different endgame. Now they must find the seven lost Books of History. Books that have power over the past, present, and future. Books whose words are alive. Books sought by the Dark One that control not only the destiny of their world . . . but that of ours as well. From Chosen to Traitor? After being stretched to their limits, the four heroic young Forest Guard recruits--Johnis, Silvie, Billos, and Darsal--are pulled into deeper danger on their mission to secure the seven lost Books of History.Celebrated as a hero, Johnis's world is shattered when he learns that his mother may not be dead as presumed but could be living as a slave to the Horde. Throwing caution to the wind, he rushes to her rescue. But this is precisely what the Horde has planned. Now he will face a choice between Silvie, whom he is quickly falling for, and his sworn duty to protect the Forest Dwellers. How can he save those he loves without betraying his own people? In the end, one will be revealed as the Infidel. And nothing will be the same for the remaining Chosen.

If your not into Hobit"ish" books, you might want to pick up:Enter a world where nothing is what it seems. Where your closest friend could be your greatest enemy.Kevin Parson is driving his car late one summer day when, suddenly, his cell phone rings. A man who identifies himself as Slater speaks in a breathy voice: You have exactly three minutes to confess your sin to the world. Refuse, and the car you're driving will blow sky high.Kevin panics. Who would make such a call? What sin? Kevin ditches the car. Precisely three minutes later, a massive explosion sets his world on a collision course with madness. From the #1 best-selling fiction author comes a powerful story of good, evil, and all that lies between.

OR

Martyr's Song. I'll warn you though this one might make you cry.

Make me beautiful. That's what Marci wants from the old woman not inner beauty, but real, physical attractiveness to save her from being a teenage outcast. The woman offers a gift in the form of a story a strange tale from 1940s Bosnia about a group of soldiers who terrorize a town of women and children, brutalize their priest, and murder a child. Somehow, in the midst of the horror, a window opens to another reality a world of impossible beauty, infectious music, irresistible laughter, and a vision that somehow changes everything.By the time the story ends, Marci hears the heavenly music herself. So will you. Once you read this unforgettable story, you'll never be the same.

I love Seattle and all, but I wasn't looking forward to moving everything. Nothing is set in stone, but Damon gets to do his training down here in Portland for at least the next 2 weeks, but he should find out for sure within the 2 weeks whether or not we get to stay for good. Alright Alright!!!

I have been really bad at updating this blog lately, and I'm driving all of you crazy I KNOW!! I"m so sorry!! Life at the Abbotts has been crazy to say the least. Just when we thought we were gonna get settled, the Lords got other plans. Damon ended up having to take a job thats located up in Seattle, WA. For the time being we will be going back and forth, but eventually looking for a place up north. Please keep us in your prayers in that respect. In the meantime Damons testing to be a Police Officer, and is applying all over the Northwest it seems. Its something that hes wanted to get into, and theres a lot of opportunity up here, so we'll see what the Lord has planned.

In other happenings, we had some friends (the Shubins) come visit. We had loads of fun, although they were really up here for a wedding, we got to steal some of there time. The kids were so excited to see there buddies, and had loads of fun hanging out again.

Packed in tight!All the buddies

Sibling love. Aren't they just cute!

Hopefully all of you are doing well, and I will post again soon. Hopefully it won't take me as long next time. :)
