My brother visits!
So this must have been the summer of visiting brothers! Its great though. My little brother just dropped by because he was in town with his roommate, so we got to see them for a few. I think the kids were confused cuz they couldn't stay long, and when they had to leave Chloe cried. Hopefully we'll get to visit longer at Thanksgiving! (hint, hint Jeremy) :) Anyways, I was able to get a quick pic to post so here ya go!

We have had an exciting weekend. Damons brother Derin or Uncle Derny came down to visit, and we had a blast. The kids were excited to see him! Damon and I went out to dinner with and a friend Friday night, then played games with some friends of ours who watched our kids. Then Saturday we went out IN & OUT Burger, and then went to fountain hills. They have a really cool park area that has this huge water play area and 2 different parks to play at. The kids had fun running around and getting wet, and we had fun watching them go nuts in the water. Then later we went swimming at home and BBQ'd. Sunday was church, and then more swimming. Then before he left we had to go to the best burrito place ever Chipotle, and then he left the next day. The kids had fun with him here, every morning they wanted to know where uncle derny was and I would tell them in "sissy's" room and they would sneak over and open the door, and then he would say good morning, and they would run in. Heres a few pics of our weekend.

We also had a huge dust storm come while we were out. It was actually pretty neat to see. If you looked one way you would see blue sky, then the other way was nothing but dust so thick you couldn't see very far. Pretty dangerous, but we didn't have to drive much in it before it passed the street we were on.

Evan for some reason had to take his Mr. Potato head glasses everywhere we went, and would wear them as if they weren't meant for his head!

The Big Boy in his Big Bed!!
So, last night was Evans first night in his Big Bed. We took apart his crib, so he didn't even have to choice of going in there. Damon had bible study so I was on my own putting them to bed. We read there little bible in Evans bed, then I told Chloe to go get in her bed while I tucked Evan in. I turned his light off, and then closed his door almost all the way, and went to tuck in Chloe. By the time I was done with her he was out saying he didn't want his door closed. So I went back in put him in his bed, and left his door open half way. He stayed in his bed, but yelled for me to close his door. (the boy couldn't make up his mind!) So I closed it yet again, heard him toss over to the side, and then he fell asllep.
He came into our room at 4 in the am, but at least he was in his bed most of the night. We'll see how nap time, and bed time go tonight!

So Damons work has some perks. Every once in a while he'll get free tickets to the AZ diamond backs games. This time we had 4 tickets, and were unable to find some friends to go with, so we decided to take the kids. They had a BLAST!! The whole day Evan kept saying he wanted to go to a baseball game, and thats all he would talk about. (as if he knew what it was :)) Damon got home from work, and we picked up burgers from Carls Jr, and headed to the game. (These were the kids meal burgers)

Once we finally found a decent price to pay for parking (there was a beyonce concert happening at the US Airways Coliseum, so some parking was $30!!! we made it to the game during the 3rd inning. We didn't have all that great of seats, but the kids didn't know any different. Evan was a little freaked out in the begining because of how high we were.

Evans Birthday Party pics...FINALLY!
Sorry its taken so long for me to update this blog for those of you who read it. We've had some fun things going on, but its taken me a while to get on this thing to update it. Our little man has turned 2! For his birthday we had a pool party and and invited a few friends over to hang out and BBQ. Before they got here though he was already pooped out, and fell asleep.

Evan loved opening all his presents, and wasted no time doing it once he found where they were, and that his friend Jonathan wanted to help...
Evans Grandma and Grandpa and Uncles sent him new bedding that he loved, and couldn't wait to sleep on it...can you tell!
I made him a carrot cake with mater, and lighting on it, and he loved it. He actually blew out the candles..It was cute!
I think he liked his cake...what do you think?!
Happy 2nd Birthday Evan!!
